How we verify institutions
What ScholarVoya checks before an institution and its programmes appear, what the “ScholarVoya partner” mark means, and what it does not.

Why we verify
Students make expensive decisions from what they read here. So an institution's information is checked by ScholarVoya's staff before it is published, and checked again over time.
What an institution gives us
An institution that asks to work with ScholarVoya completes a verification file:
- its type and the authority that accredits it, with its accreditation certificate;
- its official website, its address and its contact details;
- the levels it teaches and its teaching languages;
- what it wants to do with ScholarVoya, for example receive applications.
Its name, country, type and accreditation cannot be changed once the review has started.
Who decides
ScholarVoya's staff read the file and its documents, and approve or refuse it. The institution's public page is then checked against its official sources before it is published. Each step is recorded in our audit log.
Programmes
Fees, requirements, intakes and deadlines come from the institution's official sources. When an institution proposes a change to one of its programmes, ScholarVoya checks it against the official page before students see it; until then, students keep seeing the version that was checked.
Programmes are looked at again over time, and those due for a check are brought to our staff's attention.
Online degrees
An online degree appears only while ScholarVoya holds current evidence that the university is accredited to award it in its own country: the authority, its decision or register entry, and the degree awarded. The evidence is checked again when it ends, or after a year. The accreditation is shown on the programme's page.
What “ScholarVoya partner” means
The mark appears on an institution's page while it has an active partnership with ScholarVoya: it has been verified as described here and receives applications through the platform. When a partnership is paused or ends, the mark is removed.
What verification does not mean
Verification confirms who an institution is and where its information comes from. It is not a ranking, and it does not guarantee an admission, the recognition of a degree in another country, or a visa. Institutions can change fees, requirements and deadlines: confirm important details with the institution. See Guidance, not guarantees.
