Ethical recruitment

The principles ScholarVoya, its agencies and its partner institutions follow when they help a student choose where to study.

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Honest information

  • Nobody on ScholarVoya may promise an admission, a scholarship, a visa or a job. Institutions, governments and employers decide.
  • Programme information comes from institutions' official sources and is checked before it is published.
  • An institution's own application fee is shown on the programme before you apply.
  • An online degree is listed only with evidence of its accreditation.

The student's interest first

Match scores are computed from your profile and each programme's published requirements, by fixed rules. A partnership with ScholarVoya does not raise a programme's score.

ScholarVoya may be paid by a partner institution when a student it helped enrols there. This never changes what the student pays the institution.

No pressure, no hidden fees

Applying through ScholarVoya is free. Paid plans and services are optional, and kept apart from admission and visa decisions: paying never buys one.

What we ask of agencies

Every agency is verified and accepts ScholarVoya's agency terms before it works with students: it adds only students who agreed, uses their details only to help them, and leaves contact with partner institutions about their applications to ScholarVoya. See how we verify agencies.

What we ask of institutions

Institutions keep their programme information up to date, and ScholarVoya checks each change before it is published. Admission decisions are theirs alone: ScholarVoya passes them on as they are. See how we verify institutions.

When something is not right

If an agency, an institution or ScholarVoya itself does not live up to these principles, make a complaint. If money was asked for a guaranteed result, report fraud.
